Raptor-Based Ford Bronco Renderings are Fresh and Entirely Different Than Anything Thus Far

Aside from some muscle cars of the bygone era, Ford Bronco is arguably the most desired returning American nameplate. Let’s face it. Although almost nothing official on the matter came from the Blue Oval yet – Broncos simply have to make a return. Only question is when. In the meantime, we can enjoy classic Bronco restorations, rumors, renderings and, possibly a future concept. Latest of such set of renderings comes from a freelance graphic designer Michael Stone Clark.

Michael Stone Clark whose entire range of Bronco renderings you can check here, got his inspiration from the upcoming 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor. One rugged off-roader deserves another, it would seem. His concepts are dubbed 2020 Ford Broncos, and come in three forms. If you take a closer look, you won’t only find the regular Raptor-based full-size SUVs, but extended SuperCab and even panel van concepts.

I don’t know about you, but I would really love to see these renderings become a reality. There’s a very slim chance of that happening, but it’s not that far-fetched either. Think about it. Raptor’s body-on-frame structure allows potential Raptor-derived Broncos to be rather cost effective. Moreover, Raptor’s 3.5L EcoBoost V6 would fit revived SUV perfectly. Apart from having more than enough power, twin-turbo is probably the most fuel-efficient option a full-size SUV can have these days, apart from a diesel mill. Finally, Raptor’s menacing demeanor too, would fit Bronco’s somewhat infamous badge.

We hope Ford takes a notice of these renderings. Although I’m pessimistic of Raptor-derived Bronco’s chances, the sheer idea could spark a potential real deal. It only remains to wait and see how the events unwind for Ford’s hibernating full-size SUV from now on. Some people; though, can’t afford to wait any longer and take matter into their own hands. Like this Russian Bronco-enthusiast who converted its Lada Niva into Ford Bronco concept car, for instance.
