It’s a land of plenty, where the filthy stinking rich get even richer and do stupid stuff with their money. You’ll find Rolls-Royces covered in gold leaf. You’ll find Lamborghini, Ferrari, and McLaren supercars abandoned. And now, you’ll find a set of tires that are studded…with diamonds. Yup, the most expensive tires in the world are here.
Dubai’s Z Tyre did it simply because they could. Masking the task by saying it’s to “celebrate and recognise the true worth of its range of high performance tyres”, they’ve developed a set of Z1 tires specifically for Reifen Essen 2016, a tire trade show in Germany.
Just having a set of fancy rubber tires wasn’t enough. No, Z Tyre had artisan jewellers in Italy decorate the tires with real diamonds before sending them back to Dubai, where gold leaf was applied to the tires as well.
When you think yours are the best and most expensive tires in the world, you set out to prove it. You get the tires appraised and authenticated by Guinness Book of World Records. These four hoops were valued at an astounding $600,000.
Is anyone interested in mounting these on their Camaro, Mustang, or Challenger? Tell us what you think these tires are truly worth.
