When you heard about the Ferrari LaFerrari, obviously you were wooed by the insane amounts of horsepower and the incredible performance it was sure to promise, but was your first question “does it come in a convertible?” If so, you’re going to fall head over heels in love with the LaFerrari Aperta.
You’ve heard the statistics over and over again but it never ceases to amaze. 950 horsepower from a 6.3-liter V12 and its electric hybrid drive system. The 2016 LaFerrari is rated 0-60 miles per hour in just 2.6 seconds. And 0 to 124 miles per hour in a blistering seven seconds. We can even rate 0 to 186 miles per hour — that’s just 15 seconds, well on its way to the top speed of 217 miles per hour.
Now, imagine doing all that with the wind blowing through your hair. That’s what it’s like driving the LaFerrari Aperta.
Everyone thought it would be called the LaFerrari Spider, and truth be told, the name is not yet officially Aperta. The name, along with other specs and information will only be announced later this year at the Paris Auto Show.
What we do know for certain is that potential clients were shown the LaFerrari Aperta at a private viewing. Needless to say, each and every one is spoken for. So even before it’s officially unveiled, they’re sold out completely.
If you’ve got an extra $1.4 million USD tucked away specifically for your very own LaFerrari Aperta , put it back in your sweatpants pocket. It’s gonna have to wait until the next big release from Ferrari.
